Please note that we only use Macs at Photofusion. Photoshop & Lightroom are essentially identical on either Mac or PC platform, any keyboard differences are explained at the start of each course. The following computer skills
are absolutely necessary for all participants on the following courses.

| Take your retouching skills to a higher standard with our new intermediate Photoshop course.
Retouching is far from just cloning and
healing. This course will teach you how to make use of all
tools and show a large variety of techniques. The course thoroughly covers many areas of retouching with an emphasis on faces
and skin. Learning outcomes will include advanced selections, layer masks, Alpha
channels and advanced blend modes.
Contents will cover natural portraits as well as artificially lit portraits. This course will be of particular interest for fashion and portraiture photography.
Level: Intermediate. You will be expected to
have a good general knowledge of Photoshop or have done our Photoshop Level II

Course requirements:
To get the most from the course, you will need a D-SLR, or digital camera capable of shooting RAW files, and a reasonably modern computer (PC or Mac – Lightroom is not currently available for Linux users). If you don't have Lightroom, a 30-day trial of Lightroom is available here.

For many digital photographers, Lightroom is the only image processing software they will need. Compact and cheaper than Photoshop it enables the photographer to quickly and reliably
- Import, keyword and back up digital files
- Manage and track the location of images
- Process RAW digital files using the power of the Adobe Camera RAW converter
- Develop digital files non destructively
- Export images in a variety of formats, or directly to Photoshop CS3/ CS4 for editing or distribution
- Create slide shows and mini web galleries effortlessly

With a week in between to allow for participants to shoot RAW files and practice what they have learnt, this new course provides an in-depth introduction to the power of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.

This is an in-depth introduction to Photoshop CS3 for photographers. You
will learn the most commonly used commands and techniques to improve images and also how to utilise some of the more creative effects.This course will be of more benefit to you if you have access to a computer with Photoshop
outside of the class in order to practice the skills you will learn.
Entry Requirements: You should be able to use a computer efficiently.
Please contact us if you unsure about this. At Photofusion we only use Apple
Macintosh computers. PC users need not worry as Photoshop is near identical
in Mac or PC. The first 15 minutes of the class is used to familiarise users
to Mac commands.
