| HD DSLR VIDEO WORKSHOP |

If you are a photographer looking to make the transition from still photography to moving image or are just starting out and want to learn how to correctly operate a HD DSLR in video mode then this one day workshop is for you. Exposure control, lenses, stabilisation, frame rates, rolling shutter and much much more are all covered in this intensive hands on workshop.
Andrew Lawrence has been a freelance videographer at various Soho production companies for over ten years starting as an assistant in the camera department working as a loader and focus puller. He has also worked on numerous pop videos and Hollywood features. In recent years Andrew has been concentrating on corporate, viral and personal drama projects. Andrew now works mainly with a Canon 5D2 the camera that has revolutionised film making. This workshop will use Photofusion's Canon 5D2, several Canon lenses, Zacuto magnifyer, Swit external monitor, Rode NTG-3 microphone, Zoom H4N recorder, Chroziel matte box, Merlin Steadicam and more.
Please note: Participants need not bring their own DSLR as a Canon 5D MK2 will be supplied by Photofusion.

This course provides a comprehensive grounding in Final Cut Pro X and gives you the skills to structure your footage and bring your ideas to life.
Final Cut Pro X offers a radical shift from earlier versions of Final Cut Pro - this practical two-day course is designed to enable you to master Final Cut Pro X quickly and easily.
The course covers workflow, project management issues, video effects and compression methods, hints and tips on timing that can make all the difference to your final production. You will learn how to log and capture your digital media, set up your project, use the tools and palettes, add finishing touches and export your final edit.
You will get plenty of hands on experience using the software and explore the unique streamlined interface. This course is taught on our brand new 27" IMacs in an air-conditioned room for the best possible video editing learning
experience.
These courses will be taught by Dionne King. Originally from a Fine Art background, Dionne's passion for the moving image developed through her photography. A graduate of the National Film & Television School, she lectures part-time on BA Film Arts, trains media professionals as well as maintaining industry practices.
Requirements: No previous experience necessary. You will be working on sample footage provided by Photofusion, please do not bring your own.
