‘The Dark Room’ at the Truman Brewery
Hush Puppies are inviting you to explore pictures and perhaps produce your own as they open the doors to ‘The Dark Room’ this weekend at the Truman Brewery.
Event Dates: Friday 23rd – Monday 26th August 2013 | 12 – 8pm
This weekend, Hush Puppies will be opening its doors and welcoming you in for an exploration into traditional photography as part of their new pop-up Dark Room.
Guests are invited to rent a 35mm film camera, hit the streets of London with their analogue in tow and on return personally process their own favourite image in the Dark Room with experts on hand to help guide people through the process.
Throughout the four days there will also be a line-up of dynamic experts hosting interactive workshops, these include learning how to make your own retro-pinhole camera, taking a tour with street photography experts who will help you take the perfect picture and then take you back to the Dark Room to develop your masterpiece. As well as a pop-up classic camera store from photography specialists Films Not Dead.
The event is Kicking-off with Alternative London’s tour of East London’s street art scene at 2pm on Friday 23rd August…
Then analogue photography specialists Films Not Dead’s will be running ‘Getting to Know Your Camera’ masterclasses throughout the weekend.
