Four Corners FATHOM Artists Residency programme
Four Corners is delighted to announce the launch of FATHOM, a two-year residency programme for 10 London-based artists working in film and photography.
During 2014-2015, ten artists will be supported to develop and produce new work, using dedicated space and facilities.
Five artists will be commissioned to produce new work through 3-month Production Residencies, worth £14,000 in facilities, space and artists’ fee. An additional five artists will gain 1-month Research & Development Residencies, worth £6,000 in facilities and use of space.
The programme includes work-in-progress events and talks, an annual exhibition and associated Symposium with partner The Cass at London Metropolitan University.
The programme is funded through the Arts Council’s Grants for the Arts programme, with additional support from the European Regional Development Fund, meeting an identified gap in provision for film and photographic artists, who have few opportunities for practice-based research, experimentation and development.
Four Corners is London’s centre for production and training in film and photography, enabling a wide range of people to achieve their potential through its unique facilities. It is committed to promoting artistic participation and to inspiring work that wouldn’t otherwise happen.
