A one day workshop to learn the fundamentals of mixing flash with daylight.
Flash lighting can be intimidating. We start the day learning the fundamental theory of how flash work, how focal plane & leaf shutters work and then we put it all together (understanding the theory is essential so that you can easily repeat the images you make). Using battery powered packs (Elinchrom, Profoto, Phottix) we learn how to use flash in TTL and Manual modes and the differences between High Speed Sync and Hypersync.
We then have practical sessions with a model where we put the theory into practice. With multiple flash set-ups we practice various scenarios so that all participants leave with confidence that they have understood their new flash lighting skills.
This workshop is partly funded by The European Regional Development Fund and therefore you need to be registered with HMRC for one year (showing a tax return), proof of a London postcode and be suitable for the workshop.
