| Our location in the heart of Lambeth and the facilities we provide means we are ideally suited to run local community based projects and programmes that engage people creatively.
Working primarily with young groups, Photofusion has a history of delivering projects within the local community to provide creative and technical training, personal development skills and access to multi-media facilities that may otherwise be unavailable to those not in education or employment, who are at risk or considered vulnerable.
With a dedicated fully equipped education suite and experienced, CRB checked, qualified tutors, we are able to provide both short term and longer term Arts Award accredited projects and programmes.
It is our aim, in addition to providing skills and qualifications, to also help increase motivation and aspirations, sign-post opportunities and provide access points to further education, industry links and progression towards employment/self-employment.
Our projects range from adult education and training to specialist projects for young people that offer access to the arts through a practical training methodology, which includes artist talks, research development skills, gallery visits and practical, skills-based workshops. In addition, we have a history of working in partnership with other local arts/media organisations which enables us to co-ordinate multi-media based projects, often incorporating drama, music production, design, video and textile/fashion design.
Since 2009/10, we have delivered major projects supported through successful funding bids to the 2012 LDA Cultural Skills Fund, Youth Opportunities Fund and the Big Media Box. In 2010/11, the Walcot Foundation awarded Photofusion a 3 year grant to support a new post of Community Outreach Officer.
