Prix Prictet Shortlist Announcement
The Chairman of Prix Prictet Stephen Barber recently announced in Paris the shortlist of Prix Pictet ‘Consumption’, the fifth edition of world’s leading photography prize for sustainability.
The photographers first had to be recommended by a panel of Nominators, from which 650 portfolios were selected. Then an independent jury, chaired by Sir David King Foreign Secretary’s Special Representative for Climate Change (SRCC), decided upon a shortlist of 11 finalists. The work spans the entire range of contemporary photographic practice, from fine art to photojournalism.

The Prix Pictet has two elements: the prize of CHF 100,000 and the Commission, in which a nominated photographer is invited to undertake a field trip to a region where the Bank is supporting a sustainability project. Thiese prizes will be announced by Kofi Annan on 21 May 2014 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
