Andrew Youngson Book Launch: 間 Aida
Tuesday 17 September, 18.30 – 21.00
Photofusion Member Andrew Youngson will be hosting the book launch of his photographic project 間 Aida in the Photofusion Gallery. This self-published book of images explores the space between buildings on a small island off the coast of Japan.
“These photographs record the space between Japanese houses; they speak of an emptiness that exists physically and still moments that continue. This is an invitation into spaces in which nothingness is manifest, and where the pause becomes eternal.” Sayoko Nakahara
Andrew Youngson is a London-based photographer whose work deals with time, landscape and memory, specifically in relation to armed conflict. He has exhibited internationally and his previous publications include The Devil’s Garden and Visions 1-26.
