AOP Awards Exhibition
The winners of the Association of Photographers Awards 2013 were exhibited this weekend at the Truman Brewery, with a high calibre selection of work winning cross the categories of Object, Portrait, Life, Environment and Project, along with a new Lifetime Achievement Award. The AOP Open Awards exhibition was for this weekend only, showing at the Truman Brewery in Shoreditch.
We went for a visit this weekend and these where our favorite from the show…
Winning Best Life Series was George Logan, with his images for the Whiskas’ Big Cat Little Cat ad campaign, commissioned by AMV BBDO, based on the slogan ‘feeding your cat’s instincts’.
Winning Gold and Best in Category the Project award, was Adam Hinton‘s ‘The Penas Ciudad Barrios and the Mara Salvatrucha Gang’, documenting the gangs culture and inmates at the Penas Ciudad Barrios maximum security prison in the South of El Salvador.

The exhibition at B3, Truman Brewery was open for one weekend only – Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October 2013.
