Bloomberg New Contemporaries: Submission Deadline approaching
The deadline for submissions to Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2015 is fast approaching. Submissions close 8 February 2015.
With Bloomberg’s sponsorship of New Contemporaries now in its 15th year, this year’s selectors are Hurvin Anderson (New Contemporaries 2002), Jessie Flood-Paddock (New Contemporaries 2006) and Turner Prize Winner, Simon Starling (New Contemporaries 1994).
Applications are welcome from final year students and those who graduated from UK art schools in 2014 applying as artists or as collaborative groups. Following two rigorous selection rounds in March and April 2015, Bloomberg New Contemporaries will launch in Nottingham across artist-led spaces One Thoresby Street, Backlit and Primary, supported by additional activity at Nottingham Contemporary, New Art Exchange and Nottingham Castle.

The Syllabus Open Call for Artists
New Contemporaries, Eastside Projects, S1 Artspace, Studio Voltaire and Wysing Arts Centre invite applications from artists for The Syllabus; a new programme supporting ten artists across ten months.
Starting in June 2015, The Syllabus will provide selected participants with a series of intensive seminars at each of the partner venues, to encourage enquiry into individual participants’ work, offer practical guidance to working as an artist, as well as ongoing access to curatorial and other staff. Benefits of the programme include:
- One to one contact with staff at the partner organisations
- An intensive programme of seminars devised by artists in association with each partner organisation
- The opportunity to develop within a cohort of ten peers
- Individual mentoring across ten months
Applications should be made online via Wysing Arts Centre. The deadline is 12 midnight, 20 February 2015.
