Morning – Intensive course to understand how to use a film camera, understanding exposure, how to process a roll of film and how to make an enlarged B&W print in the darkroom.
Understanding your camera, Exposure Control, each participant is given a roll of B&W film and we go out and expose 36 frames.
We then process roll of film. Learn how to load film onto spiral in the dark. How to mix chemicals and process, wash, dry, sleeve the negatives. While the films wash and dry we take a short lunch break.
Afternoon – printing and enlarging the negatives into 10×8″ prints in the darkroom. Learn how to use the enlarger, make a test strip, make a test print, dodge & burn selective areas of the print.
Participants need to bring their 35mm film camera.
