Peter Kennard in conversation with Kazuma Obara

Free & exclusive to Photofusion Members
Wednesday 30 March, 19:00

Peter Kennard is Britain’s most important political artist and a “living hero of pacifist photomontage … denouncing war for more than four decades” (Jonathan Jones, The Guardian). Inspiring many of today’s politically aware artists such as Mark Wallinger and Banksy, the Imperial War Museum in London is currently honouring his work with a major retrospective, “Peter Kennard: Unofficial War Artist” (until 30 May 2016).

Peter will discuss aspects of his own career and lead a conversation with Kazuma Obara, whose exhibition “Silent Histories” is showing in Photofusion’s gallery, exploring the role of the photographer in engaging with issues of war and human rights including stories that are often invisible or untold.
