My practice revolves around three central themes, space, movement and change and a key question within my work is the connection between these elements and the photographic image. My interest in the position I hold in the world around me has always driven me to photograph my surroundings. I use photography, drawing and text as tools to further examine and understand the places I encounter.
One of my current photographic projects N1C follows the landscape of King’s Cross during its regeneration. The works capture views of the shifting landscape within and around the site that exist for short moments before being altered by the unceasing regeneration. The project reveals the physical changes occurring whilst also questioning the affects these changes will have on the community and culture within the area.
