Photofusion Members’ Exhibitions
Since 2008, we have been hosting an Annual Members’ Photography Exhibition to showcase the talent and artistic quality produced by Photofusion Members.
These exhibitions have grown from a group show of 13 photographers to our current new Salon and Select format of exhibitions, featuring over 100 artist’s work covering the gallery walls from floor to ceiling.
Over the years, these exhibitions have caught the attention of press including the London Evening Standard, The British Journal of Photography, Brixton Bugle, as well as exhibiting artists featuring in editorial spreads in the Guardian Weekend and Hotshoe Photography magazine; win awards such as the Lucie Awards and The Renaissance Photography Prize; and gone on to have solo exhibitions and participate in residency programmes.

We are pleased to present this year’s Members’ exhibition, Photofusion SALON/14. Taking its name from the 18th and 19th century Parisian salons, this exhibition will showcase the work of 140 artists, whose photographic and video work will cover the gallery walls from floor to ceiling.
Submissions included a broad range of technical experimental photography, such as fragmenting light through a darkroom enlarger and image making through the use of a Microsoft Kinetic Sensor, through to documentary photography that deals with social and cultural issues in the Middle East. The exhibition will take you on a journey from Britain’s Sunday Soldier’s commemorative WWII re-enactments to the Albanian landscape with its recycled communist bunkers.

Now in its fourth year, the Photofusion Annual Members’ Show has undergone a complete makeover. Due to the growing popularity of this event, AMPS is adopting a new salon-style hang, allowing a much larger number of Members to showcase one of their images. Following on from this exhibition, a select few will be chosen to develop their work and exhibit as part of a smaller group show, Photofusion Select, in 2013.
This year, 118 photographers were selected to exhibit on the walls, along with a further 43 presented on a show reel.
