Miniclick Photography Press Launch Night, Brighton

Wednesday June 25th. Doors at 6pm, kicks off at 7pm. Free Entry at The Old Market, Brighton

The Miniclick Photography Talks are a series of monthly, free photography and film-making events based in Brighton but working around the UK and further afield. They explore some of the most fascinating ideas and beautiful or hard-hitting stories through their informal talks and discussions with some of the UK’s most talented practitioners, that are both free and open to all.

In addition to putting on talks and discussions, Miniclick also puts together experimental events designed to explore new ways of looking at photography and keeping everything open to all.

To conclude their photobook themed month, Miniclick are having a launch night releasing 5 monographs by 5 different photographers.

The Miniclick Press has been set up to publish the side projects, experimental works and forgotten archives of active photographers. Twice this year they will be publishing 5 new books, each time on a different theme.

In June, and for their first set, the focus is on 5 Brighton photographers including Kevin Meredith, Kristina Sälgvik, Ondra Loup, Jack Latham and Jean-Luc Brouard. They have also commissioned some exclusive writing for each edition, sometimes a poem, a work of fiction, sometimes an article or interview. The launch night will include short talks from each photographer.

In October, there will be 5 more published on a different theme, and at the end of the year you’ll be able to buy a very nice slipcase to keep them all in.
