Pinhole Day | Photofusion & LAPC
Sunday 29 April 2018
10:00 – 13:00
Open to all
Photofusion and LAPC are planning a special celebration of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. Photofusion will be open from 10:00 – 13:00, we will have a number of pinhole cameras/cans/maybe even fruit (!) available for anyone who would like to give pinhole photography a go.
If you have your own pinhole camera, bring it! The darkroom will be open, enabling us to process paper negatives, and we are running a special programme for young people where they will build their own pinhole camera from Lego. There will be plenty of us on-hand to help out, including Martin Newth whose current exhibition Re-View is hanging in the gallery. Martin’s work is made with pinholes and camera obscuras. Afterwards, you can upload your images onto pinholeday.org, the official online gallery of Worldwide Pinhole Day.
Coffee, paper and chemistry are on us, but small donations are always welcome to cover some of our costs.
The Lego workshop requires booking, we have 6 slots available. Book here…
A £5 donation on the day is recommended to help cover the cost of the Lego.
Hope to see you on Sunday.
