Four exhibitors from the most recent members’ photography exhibition SALON/14, were selected to exhibit their full body of work in Photofusion SELECT/15. These artists have each been awarded a bursary alongside mentoring from Photofusion staff towards developing and exhibiting new, unseen work.

For this event, the exhibiting photographers Emilia, Lucy, Thomas and Willem will be discussing their photographic projects in the exhibition. The discussion will be chaired by Federica Chiocchetti.

Chiocchetti is a PhD researcher in photography and fictions at the University of Westminster, London, she is also an independent curator, writer and editor. She is the founding director of the on and off line photo-literary platform the Photocaptionist, devoted to the relations between images and words. Her recent projects include, among others, the exhibition H. said he loved us by Tommaso Tanini at the Kunsthalle Budapest for the Hungarian Month of Photography 2014; and Amore e Piombo: The Photography of Extremes in 1970s Italy, exhibition and book co-curated and co-edited with Roger Hargreaves, for the Archive of Modern Conflict and the Brighton Photo Biennial 2014, winner of the Kraszna Krausz 2015 Best Photography Book Award. Currently she is the 2015 Art Fund assistant curator of photographs at the V&A, working on the display Facing History and the exhibition Peter Henry Emerson: Presented by the Author (Nottingham Castle Museum, Nov. 2015 – Feb. 2016). She is also currently curating the Photocaptionist endframe column of The British Journal of Photography.
