Unseen Photo Fair Amsterdam
Unseen is an international photography fair focused on undiscovered photography talent and unseen work by established photographers. After a successful first edition, the second edition is scheduled from 26 to 29 September 2013, kicking off the gallery season by celebrating yet undetected, cutting-edge work. The fair with a festival flair will take place at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek.
Unseen is an initiative of renowned Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam; Platform A, office for cultural business development; and the creative branding agency, Vandejong.
The programme for Unseen 2013 includes…
- UNSEEN Photo Fair: 50 galleries from all over the world, as well as some artist-run initiatives including Lucid-ly, MELK, Nest and Polly’s Picture Show.
- A collection of affordable photos exhibition: This year several photography-related initiatives will be exhibiting, including carina Hesper’s Visually Impaired photo collection, digifitti and Fotomatique by Maarten van der glas, The Tintype Studio, The pinhole room, and Foam Education.
- Independent publishers at the Unseen Book Market: celebrating the independent publisher, beautiful books and their creators and provides a meeting place for bookmakers and book lovers.
- FOAM Talent: Foam Magazine showcases outstanding work from young, talented photographers submitted from more than 50 different countries. This summer Foam Magazine will present a billboard exhibition at Unseen to showcase the work of their Talent list.
