Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day

Anyone, anywhere in the world, who makes a pinhole photograph on the last Sunday in April, can scan it and upload it to the website where it will become part of the annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day celebration’s online gallery.

Also this weekend, don’t miss the London Pinhole Festival at Doomed Gallery.

On the evening of Friday 25 April, Doomed Gallery have the opening of an Exhibition of Pinhole Photography. Examples were chosen from over 150 submissions from all over the world, and there will be a talk by Tim Bennett of Metroprint and a book signing by John Furlong.

On Saturday 26 April, they have a Pinhole Photo Booth in Ridley Road Market where you can have your very own pinhole portrait taken by Seb Sussman and Scarlett Pimlott-Brown from Double Negative Darkroom for free! Also Melanie King (LAPC) and Douglas Nicolson will be running a Workshop where you can learn everything about making pinhole cameras and taking photos. £30 – book from their website.

On Sunday 27 April, the Exhibition of Pinhole Photography continues (1-7pm), with the inclusion of works created on Saturday from the market stall and the workshop. There will be a talk by Anthony Carr at 2pm.
