Film Processing | Order Form

Photofusion is London’s largest public darkroom specialising in processing using traditional methods. All films are expertly hand processed and monitored throughout so as to ensure the highest quality. For black & white we offer the choice of two different developers – Ilford Ilfotec DD or Fomadon RO9 (the modern equivalent of Agfa Rodinal). For Colour negative we process in deep tanks containing Kodak Flexicolor C-41 chemistry.

How to submit your film with us

We provide a mail order service for film processing for black & white and colour (C-41) 35mm, 120, or 5×4” films. Book your film in online and either post it in to us (we always recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery – tracked from beginning to end and insured), drop off to use in person via our gallery entrance or take advantage of our new drop box.

Located outside the entrance to International House, the drop box is checked M-F 09:00 – 16:00, so we recommend using it during these hours. Put your film in a weatherproof package (British weather and all that), and drop it in. We’re quoting a one week turnaround, but for normally exposed film, our process and scan service tends to take 2-3 working days (this isn’t guaranteed & can take longer, so please check if this is important to you).

If you’ve got 5×4 dark slides, then drop off in person, as the box is big, and we wouldn’t want your dark slides to hurt themselves in the drop.

Please complete our online order form, specifying your films and service plus any other additional notes. After submitting this form, you’ll be directed to Paypal where you can pay using a credit / debit card, or your Paypal account.

Please ensure that your name, email address and phone number are posted with your films.

Film collection is available Monday – Saturday, 11am – 5pm. Just give us a call or email when you’re planning on dropping by, please use the gallery entrance to gain access to our office where we store all film processing orders.

All films are packaged in archival sleeves, and returned to you safely via Royal Mail Special Delivery. Postage back to you can take between 1-2 weeks. Please click postage on order form, if you require it.

Please note: All Photofusion annual members & student members can use the members order form for a reduced price when you quote your membership number, find out more about memberships here.

Process, scan and print

We now have an option of process, scan and print. 6″ prints from 35mm (6×4”) and 6” prints from 120mm film (6×6” from 6×6, 6×7” from 6×7 film, and so on). Pick your preferred scanning resolution (low, mid or high) and it’s just another five pounds for a pack of prints (up to 40 frames from 35mm, double the cost for half frame shooters).

If you’ve had film processed and scanned by us in the last month, we can run you a set of prints from the scan files, again £5.00 per roll, from entire rolls. These are machine prints, lovingly calibrated, but not to be confused with our other printing options.

Our process and scan service is available at three resolutions:

Low res (1500 pixels long edge – suitable up to 6″ prints)
Mid res (3000 pixels long edge – suitable up to 10″ prints)
High res (5000 pixels long edge – suitable up to 15″ prints)

Low, mid and high resolution jpegs are delivered via
