Photofusion is the UK's largest photographic resource centre for emerging talent. Founded in 1991 by female photographers to challenge media stereotypes, we have spent 33 years nurturing diverse creatives through free access to training, mentoring, and exhibition opportunities.
Based in the heart of Brixton, we serve underrepresented young people in one of London’s most disadvantaged boroughs, delivering visible, inclusive change in the creative industries.
Summer School: Providing free meals and creative workshops for children aged 8–16 from low-income families.
The Creators’ Studio: Year-round intensive workshops for young people aged 16–25 facing financial and social barriers.
Gallery 2: A dedicated professional platform offering free debut exhibition space to South London photographers.

Photography defines our media and shapes public discourse, yet the industry remains inaccessible to many. We work to directly address these systemic imbalances:
Gender Gap: 71% of professional photographers are men, and only 13.7% of press images are taken by women.
Representation: 90% of the UK cultural workforce identifies as white.
Diversity: The majority of our young participants identify as being from Global Majority or BAME backgrounds.
Barriers to Entry: We remove the high costs of equipment, industry knowledge, and networks that prevent talented individuals from progressing.
-
A partnership with Photofusion aligns your brand with a respected Arts Council England NPO and supports essential ESG and CSR priorities.
Audience Reach: Your brand will be seen by approximately 35,000 annual building visitors.
Digital Presence: Access our 13.5k+ Instagram followers and a digital reach averaging 60.5k views per month.
Target Demographics: Engage with young influencers (aged 16–30), local families, and industry professionals including curators and educators.
Brand Activation: Opportunities for co-branded exhibitions, product testing, and staff volunteering or mentorship.
