Sian Bonnell - Silver Sea

£100.00

Professionally printed on 10x12 Arches 88 fine art matte paper, 100% cotton-rag.

The series Constructed Landscape was a series of analogue pinhole photographs made using a homemade large format pinhole camera, built around a 5x4 darkslide. The resulting images were scanned and printed out digitally on A0 paper.

Sian Bonnell is a UK based artist, living and working in Devon. Her artistic practice aims to challenge our ideas around the nature of art and its subject-matter.

Working with available objects and spaces, Bonnell sees her camera as a “partner in crime – my provocateur; it dares me to do things.”

Sian’s work has been exhibited and published widely and is held in many public and corporate collections notably, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas, the Ransom Center, Texas and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris.

“Photofusion is a lifeline for so many emerging and not so emerging photographers. As a venue showing vital new and exciting work, I found it a most inspiring place at a time when I was a young mother in Brixton and without the time or wherewithal to make my own work. Photofusion has supported my work twice, in 2001 with the exhibition 'The Confounded Object' and in 2022 for my solo show (the first in London for 20 years) Ten Seconds.” -Sian Bonnell

Print is unsigned. Your purchase will contain a letter of authenticity from Photofusion noting Title of Print, Photographer and signed by Photofusion's Director. Due to all printing being completed expertly in-house, please allow a period of up to 28 days for your order to be shipped.
