Martin Parr & Chris Boot In Conversation

  • Photofusion Ltd 2 Beehive Place London, England, SW9 7QR United Kingdom (map)

[Past Event]

As part of Photofusion’s 2024 Artist Talks Series, we are pleased to present an exclusive ‘in conversation’ event with Martin Parr and Chris Boot on Tuesday, 3rd December at 6.30pm.

Martin Parr, the renowned British photographer and photojournalist, is known for his satirical and vividly colourful documentary photography that captures the quirks of everyday life. Joining him is Chris Boot, a respected figure in the photography world, whose career spans from being the first employee of the Photo Co-op in 1984 (which later became Photofusion) to leading Magnum Photos’ London and New York offices and serving as Executive Director of Aperture.

Together, Parr and Boot will delve into the rich history of the Photo Co-op, the cultural context of Britain in the 1980s, and their shared passion for photography. This conversation will take place alongside our current exhibition, which features works from the Photo Co-op Archive, now part of the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear directly from two influential figures in photography.
