Mordançage

An alternative darkroom process that treats a silver gelatin print with a chemical solution to bleach the image, dissolve the silver, and physically lift the emulsion into delicate, veil-like textures that can be manipulated by hand. As the print dries, the veil re-adhere to the paper surface.
