Submission Terms & Conditions
- Entry to SALON/26 is free and open exclusively to active Photofusion members.
- Non-members are welcome to apply provided they purchase a Photofusion membership prior to submitting their application.
- Membership must remain active through the opening of the exhibition on 1 December 2026.
- Submissions may include work created at any point in your career.
- Work previously submitted to any past Photofusion Salon is ineligible.
- A maximum of 3 images may be submitted per artist via a single submission form. Multiple form entries will be disqualified.
- If selected by the curatorial panel, a maximum of 1 image per artist will be exhibited in SALON/26.
- All entries must be submitted digitally in JPEG format via the online application form.
- Images must be saved at a maximum of 3000 pixels along their longest edge.
- Files must follow the required naming format:
firstname_lastname_imagetitle_number.jpg(e.g.alex_smith_silhouettes_1.jpg). Incorrectly formatted entries may be omitted from judging.
- Selected artists are responsible for providing their physical print for the SALON/26 group show.
- All selected artists receive an exclusive 25% discount on in-house printing, darkroom hire, and production services at Photofusion for the exhibition.
- Pre-produced works (including hand-printed analogue work) are permitted. Exact outer dimensions must be specified on the submission form.
The Salon Solo Award (Formerly SELECT):
- Entrants must opt in via the checkbox on the submission form.
- To be eligible, the submitted body of work must not have been previously exhibited as a formal solo exhibition in an established gallery or commercial institution space.
- The winner receives a 1-week solo exhibition in the Photofusion Main Gallery, a £250 artist fee, a £500 Photofusion production credit, 1 year of membership, and curatorial mentoring.
- The 1-week gallery slot includes installation, public display, and de-installation time. Exhibition dates will be determined by mutual agreement between the winner and Photofusion within fixed programming slots over the following 12 months.
- The £500 production credit applies exclusively to in-house Photofusion digital printing or darkroom facilities and carries no cash equivalent value.
The Glover-Rayner Prize (£3,000 Cash Prize):
- Entrants must opt in via the submission form and supply a short supporting statement (maximum 200 words) detailing how the project addresses themes of environmentalism, climate change, sustainability, or biodiversity.
Highly Commended Awards:
- Three artists will be selected to receive a 1-on-1 portfolio review with the Photofusion curatorial team, an Instagram takeover feature, and a 1-year membership extension.

No. Entry is entirely free for all current Photofusion members.
Yes. Work made at any point in your practice is eligible, provided you have not entered it into a previous Photofusion Salon open call.
This restriction applies to formal, dedicated solo shows held in established commercial galleries or public institutions. University degree shows, group exhibitions, self-hosted pop-ups, or online features do not disqualify your work.
You may upload up to 3 images on a single form. If your application is successful, the curatorial team will select 1 image to feature in the gallery exhibition.
All artists selected for the SALON/26 group exhibition receive 25% off in-house printing and production services at Photofusion to help prepare their selected work for display.
The winning artist will collaborate with our curatorial team to schedule their 1-week solo exhibition at a mutually suitable time within 12 months of winning, allowing ample time to refine and produce the body of work.
