Website: www.amitlennon.com

Join acclaimed portrait photographer Amit Lennon for a one-day workshop at Photofusion’s professional studio, exploring the creation of colour studio portraits using flash lighting.

During the course, Amit will guide you through the creative and technical processes of portrait photography, showing how colour can become a powerful storytelling tool. He will also demystify industry terminology and share practical techniques to give you the confidence to continue working independently in a studio environment.

The course will cover:

  • Working with your subject to create expressive, engaging portraits

  • Using colour in portraiture, including key colour theory principles

  • Planning and preparing a shoot to achieve creative outcomes

  • Lighting techniques – exploring different qualities of light, studio setups, modifiers, and wireless flash operation

  • Using coloured backgrounds and props to enhance portraits

You will work with industry-standard studio lighting equipment and have the opportunity to photograph fellow participants, leaving with a selection of portraits for your portfolio. Cameras will be available on the day, but you are welcome to bring your own (fully charged with an empty SD card).

This course is suitable for photographers of all skill levels - from beginners learning the basics of lighting to more experienced photographers looking to expand their portrait portfolio.
